In XVIII century the territory of present Oranienabaum or Lomonosov was given by Peter the Great to Alexander Menshikov, his right-hand.
The palace was several times rebuilt since then by other owners (Elizabeth II, Peter III).

Alexander Nevsky Lavra (Monastery)
