Registration and migration card

Once in Russia, at the airport passport control (or straight on the plane) you get migration card that you should fill up there and keep inside your passport.

Russian laws require that travelers should register their visa if they stay in Russian Federation more than 3 business days. If you stay more than 3 business days you should apply for registration immediately on arrival.

If you stay at the hotel, the hotel will register your visa. (Giving your passport for registration at the hotel - make sure your migration card is inside).Travelers who don’t have their visa registered and don’t have migration cards are required to pay fine when they exit Russia.
